Psalm 2:2

A Psalm by King David

Another Psalm by King David that foreshadows the Messiah is Psalms 2:2. The Apostle Peter directly quotes it, while in Jerusalem, speaking to other believers in a prayer meeting.

Psalm 2:2

The kings of the earth set themselves,

And the rulers take counsel together,

Against the Lord and against His Anointed

Acts 4:26 ( As Peter recites it)

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together

against the Lord and against his anointed one

in other versions, his anointed one translates to his “Christ” or his “Messiah”

Many can ask themselves why does King David say “ against the Lord and against his anointed” who is his anointed? Jesus, the Messiah.
